Yak Adventure Travel provided us with exceptional service from start to finish. The itinerary they created was great and it was flexible!

Their driver “Druk” Tempa was patient and considerate and their guide Kuenzang was an exceptionally knowledgeable and personable young man who spoke great English. They were very pleasant traveling companions. It was great to have our own late model four wheel drive, driver and guide at our disposal ready to change our daily plans as we wished.

On the one occasion when we were not totally happy with booked accommodation Sithar responded decisively, immediately moving us to a better location. I was totally impressed with the way he dealt with the situation. He could not have done better.

I highly recommend Yak Adventure Travel, they are trustworthy, thorough and efficient, and their staffs were second to none. They made our stay in Bhutan everything we hoped it would be. Thanks to all of you!

What a special trip. Bhutan is incredibly beautiful, the people spontaneously friendly, the culture gentle, spiritual and inspirational. I was deeply touched by it all and had a wonderful time. Whenever life gets too hectic, I close my eyes and imagine myself gazing at Tiger’s Nest from that wonderful viewpoint just before beginning the stone steps.

Your agent in Bhutan did a great job for us. The guides were sensitive, knowledgeable and accommodating. We got to know Bhim and Dorji (driver) best. The accommodations ranged from very nice to modest, but that was okay also. I only wish that we could have had more time – an extra day in Trongsa, and time to walk into the Phobjikha Valley – perhaps overnighting there. Maybe I will be able to return in the spring some time to do these things.

e . meeting the Queen Mother at Kichu Lhakhang (near Paro)

Dear Sithar,

Please forgive us for taking so long to get back in touch. We arrived back in Australia and started work straight away. We are both very busy in our jobs at the moment. Mark, Sue and I had a fantastic holiday in Bhutan so thank you very much. We are very grateful that you were prepared to be flexible and help us get the refund for our flights. We travelled into India and spent the next two weeks in Darjeerling, Sikim and Kalimpong. At the very end of the trip Mark and I got the flu and we were quite sick for a week or so. I am still do not feel 100%. I have handed out your brochures to anyone who said they were interested in travelling to Bhutan and I will get onto the chat rooms on the internet to tell people about your company.

My friends, who are very keen to travel there are thinking about Sept next year. Another couple are still thinking about when they can get the time off. We have not sorted our photos yet. We will send the photos that you liked so you can choose some for your website. We hope you are well and happy – not partying too hard! Please say hello to Tsering and Mangal for us. They really are great employees for you. I have since heard that some people who booked with other travel companies were very disappointed with their guides as many do not speak English very well or do not know the history of the places they took their tourists. This made me realise how lucky we were to have found your company and to have Tsering as our guide. All the best for now Sithar, we will send photos soon.

Happy belated Easter greetings to you! After a lovely and memorable trip to Bhutan, we are back to the stressful life here – full of traffic jam, work issues etc. Thank you so much for making the trip an enjoyable one.

Adrian is still talking about his trek up to the Tiger’s Nest. That was the highlight of the trip. Many friends have asked about how to make arrangements to go and we have informed them that you could make the arrangements for them. Guess! many are hesitant as they do not know much about the country. You must be in the thick of tourist season now and very busy. If you are making a trip to Malaysia, do let us know. Will send some photos of our trip soon. Please send our regards to our guide and Karma. They are very good boys. Adrian is now talking about a trek to Mt Jumolhari or the Druk path trek.

We chose Yak Adventure Travel for our vacation in 2004 from the Internet. Why? We e-mailed several companies, and Sithar at Bhutan Yak Adventure was among the most responsive. Traveling to Bhutan was a dream come true for me. Before leaving I was apprehensive that I might have been in for a disappointment after so much dreaming, however it turned out to be even better than I expected. Out of all the countries I have visited Bhutan had the biggest impact on me because of its purity in all the senses. I traveled there with my mother who is 70 years old. Our guides, Sithar and Rinzin, treated us as if we were their mother and sister rather than clients.

They were responsible, helpful, honest, punctual and extremely cheerful. Thanks to their extensive knowledge I have learned so much more about the Himalayan culture and Buddhism than I ever did on any of my previous visits to this region. We booked Bhutan Tour in Oct. 2005 through a Travel company in Holland, Nepal Service. The Local Company was Yak Adventure Travel. We were amazed by the beauty of the country and people were always smiling. We did a Trek (Gangtey Trek). There were also other Tourists on the same trek who booked through other local companies but they were not very happy with the arrangements. Yak Adventure Travel made perfect arrangements for us. The Guide entertained us… food was perfect, the Hotels were good.

The Tour Host, Sithar Tamang is a very lively person and was always concerned about our comfort. The service was best & very personalized. We strongly re-commend this company and wish them the best!
